Live TV

Sorted by country

Thousands of channels, one tap to yours. Open your country and its categories are right there — it's the reason Cobi Player exists.

  • Live TV, movies and series, grouped the same way.
  • What's on now and next, right in the channel list.
  • Search a whole section, one country, or the category names.
Apple TV: live TV sorted into country tiles, each with its number of categories
iPhone: the list of countries, each with its number of categories

Program guide

Live TV, guide included

Now, next and catch-up from your provider. Where your provider keeps an archive, watch what you missed — or start the running show from the beginning.

  • Now and next in every channel row.
  • The full guide, one click from the picture.
  • Catch-up where your provider offers it.
How the guide and catch-up work
Apple TV: a channel's guide for today and tomorrow, with the program on now marked and a button to watch it from the start
iPhone: a film playing at the top, the evening's program listed underneath

Device sync

Same on every screen

Favorites, folders and lists, synced via iCloud. Favorites, folders, your lists and Continue Watching follow you between iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.

  • No account with us, and no server of ours in between.
  • Off until you switch it on — switching it off keeps what is on the device.
  • Works across your devices with the same Apple Account.
How device sync works
Apple TV: the films of one country, its categories as chips above rows of film posters
iPad: live TV sorted by country in the left column, a film playing on the right and the evening's program below it
iPhone: the home screen with Continue Watching and its progress bars, favorite channels and favorite films

Movies & series

Movies & series, in full

Seasons, episodes, cast and trailers at a glance. Every season and episode remembers where you stopped — and at the end of an episode, the next one starts by itself.

  • Plot, rating and trailer on every film.
  • Seasons and episodes with pictures and running times.
  • Cast & crew with photos, and badges like 4K, HDR and 5.1.

Movies and series come with an Xtream Codes account. From an M3U playlist, every entry plays as a channel.

iPhone: a grid of film posters with their ratings

Resume

Pick up where you left off

The next episode starts by itself. Your progress shows on every poster.

  • A series asks: “Continue Watching” or “Next Episode” — unless it is on its last episode.
  • Home shows what you started and haven't finished; Recent holds the rest.
  • The channels you watched last are one tap away.
Apple TV: the home screen with Breaking Bad to continue, a Next Episode button and the Continue Watching row
iPad: the home screen with Continue Watching, favorite channels and films, and a prompt to continue Oppenheimer where it stopped

Your lists

Only the countries you watch

Hide the rest, pin what you love. Thousands of channels shrink to the ones you actually watch.

  • Hide countries, categories or single channels.
  • Pin what you watch most to the top.
  • In live TV, movies and series.
Apple TV: Customize Countries, with checkmarks to choose which countries appear
iPhone: Customize Countries, with three of 21 countries hidden

Favorites

Favorites, in folders

Channels, movies and series together. What you love stays one tap away — on Apple TV, right on the home screen.

  • Group them into folders you name yourself — Sports, Kids, Tonight.
  • Sort them A–Z, or keep them in your own order.
  • The same favorites and folders on every device.
Apple TV: favorites in folders, each folder showing what is inside
iPhone: favorites with three folders, a few channels and two film posters

Player

Speed, subtitles & more

Pick any audio track and set a sleep timer. Everything a stream carries, without leaving the picture.

  • Pick the audio track and the subtitles.
  • Sleep timer, speed from 0.5× to 2×, and audio or subtitle timing.
  • Picture in Picture and background audio on iPhone and iPad.
Apple TV: playback options with named audio tracks and subtitles
iPhone: playback options with audio tracks, subtitles and speed

Apple TV

Set up in seconds

Just a code from your iPhone, iPad or Mac. And not only for the TV: a new iPhone, iPad or Mac picks up your account the same way, in seconds.

  • On your iPhone, iPad or Mac: Settings › Transfer Account.
  • On the new device, enter the code: “Get Account from iPhone” on Apple TV, “Get Account from Another Device” on iPhone, iPad or Mac.
  • Works even when they aren't on the same Wi-Fi.

A player — not a service

Cobi Player ships with no channels and no content of its own. You connect your own IPTV (Xtream Codes) account or an M3U playlist that you already have. No idea where to start? A built-in preview plays a few freely licensed demo streams, so you can try the app first.

No account and no analytics of our own. Your login stays in the encrypted Keychain on your device.

Everything about Pro

Made in Switzerland

Built with care. Every message read.

I'm Antonio, and Cobi Player is my app: I design it, develop it and use it myself. I started it because the players I tried were slow and couldn't sort channels by country. Tell me what's broken or what you'd like next — your message reaches the person who makes the app, not a support queue, and I read every one.

Questions people ask

Does Cobi Player come with channels?

No. Cobi Player is a player only: you need a provider that gives you an Xtream Codes account or an M3U playlist. To try the app first, tap Watch Preview Without a Server — it plays a few freely licensed demo streams.

Is Cobi Player free?

Yes. Cobi Player is free to download and to watch — forever, on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac.

If you like it, you can support the developer with Cobi Player Pro and get much more: device sync, folders, your own lists, the player extras and your own look. One Pro covers all your devices, for a year or as a one-time purchase.

Is the app in my language?

Very likely. Cobi Player speaks 15 languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Japanese, Korean and Swedish. It follows your device's language, and you can pick another one under Settings › Language. This website is in English.

How do I get my account onto my other devices?

Without typing: on the iPhone, iPad or Mac that already has it, open Settings › Transfer Account. Then, on the new device, enter the 8-digit code shown — on an Apple TV under Get Account from iPhone, on an iPhone, iPad or Mac under Settings › Get Account from Another Device. The account is offered on two routes at once — directly across your local network (the devices don't even have to be on the same Wi-Fi) and through your own iCloud, encrypted with that code. The offer lasts 10 minutes; “Cancel” ends it earlier. One exception: an M3U playlist you imported as a file cannot travel — it lives in this device's storage. Add that playlist by URL instead and the transfer works.
